Frequently Asked Questions
I realise that sometimes I might not be instantly able to answer your queries, so in this section I’ve added some of the most asked questions, together with their answers. You’ll also find links to things like a downloadable bridle measurement sheet.
Q Where is your leather from?
A The quality of leather is really important to me so I only buy top quality leather from reliable British sources.
Q Do you fit saddles?
A I no longer offer this service I’m afraid. I can certainly give you the name of those I recommend you contact though!
Q How do I measure for a bridle, how do I know what size I need.
A If you have a bridle that already fits and you just need a new version the easiest thing to do is to measure each part. I have a really easy to use measurement sheet that you can DOWNLOAD HERE and then send on to me via email. You can also use this as a guide for when you don’t have a bridle already, however I can talk you through the measuring process.
Q I’m not confident to measure myself, do you offer that service on site?
A Absolutely I can do this for you. There is a charge to come out to you that covers a standard measuring fee and mileage costs. I’m based in Chard, Somerset so if you are reasonably local to this then it’s a good option to go with.
Q What is the turnaround time for a new bridle or bridle part?
A Everything is made to order and hand crafted by myself. At peak times of the year please expect to wait at least a couple of weeks but this can be discussed at the time of ordering.
Q Can I visit your workshop?
A I’m not a retail outlet so I’m open to appointment only, but yes, I’d be really happy to for you to see me at work.
